The creamy white flowers are tubular, slightly fragrant, and held on a 1-2 foot tall, upright, spike-like inflorescence. While plants grown indoors rarely flower, those grown outdoors in the ground will bloom seasonally.
Sansevieria, a former genus comprising approximately 70 species of flowering plants in the Asparagaceae family, has been reclassified as Dracaena based on phylogenetic evidence. This group is predominantly found in tropical Africa.
