Adenium obesum 'Treasures'

Adenium, also known as the Desert Rose, is a spectacular succulent species native to the arid regions of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. It is valued for its sculptural caudex – a thick stem with the appearance of a natural bonsai – and its vibrant flowers, which can range in shades of red, pink, white, yellow, or exotic combinations.

💡 Care:

Light: Adenium prefers strong light and direct sunlight, at least 5–6 hours a day. Lack of light reduces flowering.

Temperature: Ideal between 22–35°C

Watering: Water moderately, only after the substrate has completely dried out. Excess water can lead to root rot.

Soil: Requires a very well-drained substrate with an airy structure and low organic matter content.

Fertilizing: During the growing season (March–September), a balanced liquid fertilizer can be applied monthly in small doses.

Dormancy: In the cold period (October–February), watering is significantly reduced, and the plant may enter a partial or complete dormancy phase, losing its leaves.

🌱 Secret Garden Recommendation:

👉 For healthy roots and excellent drainage, use Secret Garden Professional Substrate for Cacti & Succulents — a balanced mix of light peat, coconut fiber, perlite, sand, and pumice stone, perfect for Adenium and other species adapted to arid areas.

🌸 The flowers of this variety may show different shades depending on the season, light, and microclimate.

📌 Important note:

These Adenium specimens are imported from Asia bare-root and leafless. After replanting in fresh substrate, the plants gradually resume vegetative growth.

👉 It is normal for the plants to show signs of dehydration, missing leaves, or reduced roots, but these will fully regenerate within a few weeks if kept in a warm, bright place and watered moderately.

🌿 Each plant is unique and may show natural variations in the shape of the caudex (more rounded, elongated, or asymmetric), as well as differences in thickness, roots, or vegetative buds. These variations are normal and do not affect the plant’s viability.

Tall lost Tail
Simba went fishing for a good time, but it looks like the fish toy got hooked on destruction instead - gone in 20 minutes!

Nice toy, but maybe not so durable
This is our second one of these, which really speaks to how much my dog loves it… it’s cute and just the right size for my Vizsla. She absolutely loves playing with it… it’s chewable and has a nice squeaker, but I’m not so sure of its durability. Our first one lasted about a month, and this one just a couple of weeks. The stitching at the tip seems to give away first, then the find. Sadly, you gotta throw it away when you see the first signs of the stuffing.

Good quality for the price
More durable than others. We have an aggressive chewer so I know the squeaker will be destroyed eventually. The fact that it didn't get destroyed day 1 is a positive.

Go with tough rubber toys---you'll be ALOT happier!!!
This item isn't worth the thread used to make it. Only took my little puppy approx. 45 min. to gnaw the squeaker out!! The edging "tape" didn't last 1/2 that long. NOT good choice for tough teethers!!! I hand sewed damages---no help. For good toys---go with the KONG-type strength---REALLY TOUGH!!!

Disappointing
Not for aggressive chewers. It looked good but after a couple of hours the binding around the edge started coming undone and my terror twins have destroyed it
