The fabric is a good weight brocade that is heavy enough that the dress can keep that wonderful sculpted shape, but it is not so heavy that is feel uncomfortable on or unwieldy to wear. The bodice has a real sculpted detailing to it with a curved seam that runs in the opposite direction that you see on most necklines and has an almost bullet bra shaping
What a gorgeous gold metallic brocade mini dress that has such a fabulous Pierre Cardin feel to it. The fabric is a good weight brocade that is heavy enough that the dress can keep that wonderful sculpted shape, but it is not so heavy that is feel uncomfortable on or unwieldy to wear. The bodice has a real sculpted detailing to it with a curved seam that runs in the opposite direction that you see on most necklines and has an almost bullet bra shaping to the bust-line. The seam that forms the empire waist curves from under the cups of the bust and not just straight across as you would normally see. This becomes a design detail and really adds to the effect the dress has. The back mimics this curve with a scoop. From the bust the dress flares out on an angle to create that dramatic and mod feeling A-line shape. Two rounded pockets sit atop each hip. The gold brocade gives it a fabulous rich feel and it is even better on person. Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a hand set, black silky rayon. It closes with a back zipper. The pockets on the front are functional.
