Use size chart below to determine the correct sizes for your wedding attendants and mother of the bride/groom gowns. Special occasion formalwear generally fits much smaller than ones current clothing size. Bra size is not the same as bust size. Do not be surprised if the chart size shown below is two sizes larger than what your mothers or maids regularly wear. Special occasion gowns are generally known to fit notoriously small, especially in the United States where dress size is measured in inches rather than in cm.
Please measure carefully before selecting the size to order. Whether purchasing bridesmaid gowns or mother of the bride/groom dresses online, or in a bridal shop, you will very likely require alterations locally to make it fit perfectly. Note: Rather than taking the gown(s) just anywhere for alterations, ask your friends who have recently married, who they might recommend.
When the gown(s) arrives they will have been packaged tightly. Please remove the dresses, hang, fluff, and if needed, use a hand steamer to remove any wrinkling that may have occurred during shipping. Ball gowns may require a full crinoline or hoop petticoat to look as beautiful as the photo appears. Consider placing your crinoline/slip/hoop order at the time you order the gowns.
